Obituary for Richard A "Richie" Szelc
Richard A. Szelc of Lumberton passed away February 8, 2023 at Virtua Hospital in the Samaritan Hospice Unit in Mt. Holly, at the age of 80. He was born in Mt. Holly, NJ and had been a longtime resident of Lumberton. Rich had worked and retired after many years at Sybron Chemicals in Birmingham, NJ. He enjoyed fishing and he was a life member of the Mt Holly VFW Auxiliary.
He is predeceased by his parents Martin and Kathryn and his brother Martin Jr. Rich is survived by his son Richard and his daughter in law Terri; his grandson Kyle; his sister Carol Hampton; his brother James Szelc and siter-in-law Lois; his sister-in-law Edith Szelc; along with many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Memorial gathering celebrating the life of Richie on March 26, 2023, at the Mt Holly VFW, Post 2692, 199 W. South Ave., Mt. Holly, NJ 08060 from 1-5PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Richie to Deborah Heart and Lung Center, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015. Email condolences to the family at leefuneralservice.com.
